Hackberry Hill Ranch is a family-run, small-batch Angus/Akaushi operation just outside Wortham, Texas. On our 160 acres, we raise cattle the way we believe cattle are meant to live—on open pasture, rotating through fresh grass, and treated with care. This leads to healthier and happier animals, thriving soil, and exceptional beef quality. 

We’re Katie and Nathaniel Zastrow, raising our three kids and our herd side-by-side here on “The Hill.” What started as a dream became our way of life, and we share our journey openly so you always know exactly where your beef comes from. Our herd of devoted mama cows alongside our full-blood Akaushi bull help us produce consciously raised, well-marbled beef you can feel good about serving. We’re small by design—so every animal, every acre, and every customer gets our full attention.
